Quest

About Players

• Any platform is acceptable: Switch or Steam
• Any nationalitiy is acceptable
• Buddies: Palicoes & Palamutes will do
• No Followers
• Meal is acceptable
• Qurious Weapon Crafting is approved
• Qurious Armor Crafting is not allowed
• Talisman: Available under the following conditions
  1. Only all first skills available which are created in the game can be used.
  2. Second skills are prohibited in principle. If it can be explained that the hunting time is not affected with the second skills, then it can be used*¹.
  3. About Slots
     • First slots can be used only for Jewel 1 or 2. Even if there are more than 3 slots available you can’t use Jewel 3 and 4.
     • Even if another slots are available, Second and Third slots are prohibited.

Examples.

• There are more than 3 slots but only Jewel 2 is used and no decorations are set in second and third slot.
• Do not set decorations in second slot.
• First skills are able to get in the game* and there are no second skills.
• *ex. Critical Eye, Attack Boost, Wirebug Whisperer and others.
• The second skill Quick Sheathe is prohibited but when Rimeguard Mail is used the Quick Sheathe level will exceed. Therefore, using this kind of Talisman is permitted as it will not affect the hunting time.

About Hunting

• Using any kind of items is allowed
• Wyvern Riding is also allowed
• Do not use Huntubg Helpers *: Sleeptoad, Mudbeetle, etc.(Please check these out in your Hunter’s Note.)
• Using any Other Endemic Life*: Wirebug, Vigorwasp, etc.
• Do not use Starburst Bug
• The initial position of the Velkhana is fixed at #6. Please reset the Quest until it appears at #6 position.

Prize

The winner in this tournament will win a prize maximum 100,000yen*.。

Commendation

A commendation ceremony will be held at the end of the tournament. Then I will transmit the result on my Twitter and YouTube.

Awards will be given to the 1^st through 3^rd place winners in the tournament, as well as the 1^st place winner of the beginner’s bracket.

What are the criteria for applying to play as a beginner using Great Sword?

It will be based on whether or not you have experience in Time Attack with a Great Sword.

You must have never uploaded a Great Sword time attack on a social networking site.

Purpose of Organizing the Tournament

 “Face the Monster and the Great Sword to yourself, and hunt the Monster within the target time.”

 The objective is to convey the fun of this kind of serious hunting to as many people as possible.

 We learned from the survey that only about 3 percent of all who played Monster Hunter have played Time Attack. Therefore, we think that this game has not yet been considered for Time Attack playing. For example: the initial location of monsters, the intrusion of small monsters, and random strength settings.

 However, it is also true that there is a great demand to conscious Time Attack games and having a tournament.

 So if we can convey the fun of serious hunting in these tournaments, we think more people will be interested in Time Attacks. Then maybe the game creators will design their games to take this type of play into consideration.

 We think the main content of Monster Hunter is hunting new monsters and making equipment, but there are really many different ways to play, such as collecting medals, hunt a lot of monsters, and Raise your master rank.

 The time attack style of play is in the minority, so it is difficult to deliver our voice, but it is important to have a respect the various ways of playing.

We have two requests for you all.

First: If you are interested in being a player in the tournament, we would like to have you. The more participants, the more exciting the tournament will be. The competition is open to all player, even as beginners, so the atmosphere of the tournament will be friendly to wide variety of players.
